Devastating Inferno: Heartbreaking Arson Rocks Jiribam District
House of Retired Police Officer Set Ablaze Amid Ongoing Conflict in Jiribam
Guwahati: In a startling incident early Wednesday, unidentified individuals set fire to the residence of a retired police officer, Sinam Bipin Singh, in Jakuradhor, Jiribam district. The family had previously vacated the property due to ongoing violence in the area. Police reported the fire started around 3.30 am. This incident adds to the growing unrest in Manipur’s Jiribam district where suspected tribal village volunteers recently burned another house, defying peace agreements. Over 225 lives have been lost, and thousands have been displaced in the conflict-ridden area. Security forces face increasing challenges as militants utilize drones to complicate peace-keeping efforts.
Additionally, in New Delhi, a young man named Vikas was critically injured in a shooting by three assailants in Malviya Nagar on Tuesday night. The attackers fled, leaving their vehicle and cartridges behind. Preliminary investigations suggest the motive might be linked to a monetary dispute.
These incidents highlight the escalating violence and security challenges in different parts of India, drawing attention to the urgent need for enhanced measures to restore peace and ensure public safety.
