On September 3, the Special Narcotics Police Station team under the CID Crime unit seized a massive 41.234 kg of suspected methamphetamine worth Rs 5,36,04,200 at Lungverh, Sakawrtuichhun area in Aizawl. Acting on detailed intelligence inputs, the personnel conducted a meticulously planned operation which culminated in the arrest of five individuals connected to the illicit drug trade.
The detained suspects are Edenthara, 27, a resident of Zemabawk; Rochharliana, 38, and Vanlalvunga, 47, both from Champhai District; Nasir Uddin, 34, from Assam’s Karimganj; and Anurul Haque, 37, a resident of North Tripura.
