Historic Accord: Centre, Tripura Govt, NLFT, and ATTF to Sign Momentous MoU in New Delhi Today
Memorandum of Settlement to be Signed in New Delhi to Promote Peace in Tripura
New Delhi – A significant Memorandum of Settlement will be signed today among the central and Tripura governments, representatives of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF). The signing ceremony, held in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will also be attended by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and senior officials from both the Home Ministry and the Tripura government.
The Union Home Ministry has made remarkable efforts towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed and peaceful Northeast, free from extremism and violence, reports Akashvani’s correspondent. The central government has already signed twelve crucial agreements aimed at fostering peace and prosperity in the region, with three of these specifically concerning Tripura.
Over the years, these agreements have led to significant positive changes. Notably, around ten thousand individuals have laid down arms and integrated into mainstream society, leaving behind the path of conflict, owing to the policies of the Narendra Modi government.
Today’s Memorandum of Settlement marks another pivotal step towards sustained peace and progress in Tripura, reflecting the joint commitment of the central and state governments to address regional issues through dialogue and cooperation. The signing of this memorandum is expected to further consolidate the peaceful initiatives already underway and pave the way for a more stable and prosperous Tripura.
