Shocking: Entrepreneur Boldly Shares Credit Card Online, Inspires Wild Spending Spree – See What Netizens Bought!
In a daring and unconventional move, Rahul Krishnan, the co-founder of BoldCare, managed to garner an astonishing 3.3 million views on a social media post within 24 hours. His strategy involved publicly sharing his credit card details on the platform X, along with OTPs (One-Time Passwords) for transactions under ₹1,000. Krishnan’s post read: “My card number is 4216-8701-5010-2349, the expiration date is 12/30, the security code is 207. Happy Sextember, everyone.”
The post was not without rules. Only transactions up to ₹1,000 were allowed, and Krishnan would reply to the original tweet thread with an OTP. The move sparked massive engagement as users, driven by curiosity, attempted numerous microtransactions. For several hours, Krishnan responded with countless OTPs, fueling the activity.
After five hours and hitting a limit of ₹3 lakh on his card, Krishnan announced that his number had been blocked due to the high volume of transactions. Various e-commerce platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and Amazon saw purchases under ₹1,000. In one instance, a user bought paneer biryani from Zomato and pledged to purchase from BoldCare in return. Krishnan asked for a 5-star review for his company in response.
The motivations behind Krishnan’s stunt remain unclear. While some applauded it as an ingenious marketing tactic, others criticized it for being irresponsible and exposing potential risks. One user noted, “Really smart marketing here… I’m appalled that this card hasn’t been flagged yet by Visa or SBI for such high activity.” Another remarked on the effectiveness of the stunt in promoting BoldCare without hiring an expensive marketing agency.
Though opinions are divided, Krishnan’s bold action undoubtedly resulted in significant social media buzz, giving BoldCare substantial visibility and engagement.
