Pineapple is highlighted for its high fiber content and the enzyme bromelain, which helps break down protein and may speed digestion after a heavy meal. Bromelain also has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe the digestive tract; eating a few slices after a large or protein-rich meal is commonly suggested to ease discomfort and promote smoother digestion.

Kiwi contributes to digestive health through its fiber and the enzyme actinidin, which assists protein digestion and can help relieve constipation. Kiwi also contains prebiotic components that nourish beneficial gut bacteria, encouraging a balanced microbiome and more regular digestion. Regular consumption of kiwi may therefore support clearer bowel movements and reduce feelings of heaviness.

Papaya is widely available and valued for its fiber and the enzyme papain, both of which aid the breakdown of food and improve digestive efficiency. Papaya also provides vitamins and minerals important for general health. Nutrition experts note that eating small amounts of these fruits regularly-rather than relying on them as a cure-all-can help control bloating, indigestion and post-meal fullness when combined with balanced, moderate eating habits.
