The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Thursday released its third list of candidates for the upcoming 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly elections, naming six contestants and signalling an escalation in the party’s campaign preparations.
The party has named Sheikh Shah Alam for Jaleswar, Ali Akbar Miah for Birsing Jarua, Abdul Salam Shah for Mankachar, and Farhad Ali for Bhawanipur Sorbhog.
In addition, Minar Hussain Mazarbhuiya will contest from Sonai, while Hibbur Rasul Choudhury has been fielded from Karimganj North.
The release of this third candidates list is part of AIUDF’s ongoing preparations for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, as the party finalizes its slate and positions itself across key constituencies.
