Guwahati: The Assam government has successfully resettled 160 out of 1,218 families from Dodhia and Laika villages at Dibru Saikhowa National Park in Upper Assam. The remaining families are expected to be relocated soon, according to environment and forests minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary. These families were temporarily sheltered in these villages following the devastating 1950 earthquake that ravaged the state.
