Agartala, 2 March 2026 — Tripura’s Food, Civil Supplies, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held a review meeting with senior officials on Monday to finalise departmental preparations ahead of the state budget session scheduled to begin on 13 March. The session is expected to include presentation of the Tripura budget for the 2026–27 financial year.
The meeting brought together secretaries, special secretaries and directors from the Transport, Tourism, and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments. Chowdhury urged coordinated planning and efficient implementation of schemes across public distribution, consumer welfare, transport infrastructure and tourism development. He instructed departments to compile necessary data, project reports and precise budgetary estimates aligned with the government’s development priorities.
Officials were asked to ensure that proposals submitted to the House are backed by clear project reports and realistic costings to facilitate timely approvals and execution.
