Empowering Futures: RSS Leaders Engage with TAKDO School Students
Leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) visited Manipur and interacted with students at a school in the Thangmeiband Assembly constituency of Imphal on February 1, 2026. Parag Abhyankar, the Akhil Bharatiya Seva Pramukh of the RSS, along with Rajesh Deshkar, Seva Pramukh of RSS Assam Kshetra, engaged with students residing at a free residential school during their visit.
This educational institution is operated by the Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) located in Khuyathong, Imphal West. Accompanying the RSS leaders were Saikhom Raju Singh, Seva Pramukh of Manipur Prant; Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh, Imphal Vibhag Sah-Prachar Pramukh; and Thokchom Gunajit Singh, Pracharak of Imphal Jilla.
During their visit, the leaders spent quality time with the students, asking about their studies, daily routines, and overall well-being. They emphasized the importance of education, discipline, and character building, urging the students to focus on their holistic development for a brighter future.
The RSS leaders commended the efforts of TAKDO and local MLA Khumukcham Jaykisan Singh, who works to provide free residential education and support to children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. The MLA, who was present during the visit, inspired the students to fully utilize the facilities available to them and praised the initiative for its role in promoting educational upliftment in the community.
