Yadav further criticized the absence of dedicated allocations or actionable plans for critical initiatives, such as cleaning the Yamuna river and improving the city’s sewerage systems. “The Budget does not show any initiative towards making Delhi a developed Capital,” he asserted, pointing out that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s praise for a ₹1.4 lakh crore allocation for capital expenditure was disproportionate given the lack of specific provisions for Delhi.
Both parties are calling for a renewed focus on local issues, challenging the Centre to deliver on its promises and engage more deeply with the pressing needs of the capital.
