Mona Singh’s Insights on Human Fragility Through ‘Kohrra 2’
Actress Mona Singh recently shared insights about her experience working on the upcoming Netflix series “Kohrra 2,” emphasizing how it deepened her understanding of human fragility. In a conversation with IANS, she revealed that the project became a personal journey of acceptance and release.
Mona, who joins the cast in this second season, highlighted the valuable lessons she learned about the necessity of letting go. “I think my takeaway was of letting go of things that no longer serve any purpose. Letting go of control. Accepting things as they are. This has been my biggest learning,” she explained.
The new season of “Kohrra,” set to premiere on February 11, also features Barun Sobti and Rannvijay Singha. In this installment, Barun reprises his role as the astute investigator Amarpal Garundi, teaming up with Mona’s character to unravel a complex and dark murder mystery surrounding a woman.
“Kohrra” is a crime thriller police procedural series created by Sudip Sharma, Gunjit Chopra, and Diggi Sisodia, directed by Randeep Jha. The first season featured a strong ensemble cast including Survinder Vicky, Barun Sobti, Harleen Sethi, and others.
As “Kohrra” returns for its second season, it promises a new case and a fresh pairing, set against the backdrop of Punjab’s stark winter landscapes, where silence often conveys more than words. The production, a collaboration between Film Squad and Act Three, reflects a significant creative evolution for the series.
Mona Singh is well-known for her iconic role in the soap opera “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin,” and she has also gained recognition for her performances in other popular shows like “Kya Huaa Tera Vaada” and “Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do.” She made her film debut with a supporting role in Rajkumar Hirani’s critically acclaimed comedy-drama “3 Idiots” in 2009.
