Gangtok, Aug 23: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has been recognized as the most popular Chief Minister in his home state, securing an impressive popularity rating of 55.7%, according to a recent survey. This places him at the forefront among state leaders in India.
Trailing Tamang is Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, who garnered a commendable 50.8% approval rating. Other notable leaders making it to the top 10 in this popularity index include Gujarat’s Bhupendrabhai Patel with 46%, and West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee with 45.5%. Andhra Pradesh’s Chandrababu Naidu and Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal both scored an identical 44.4%.
Also featured in the list are Arunachal Pradesh’s Pema Khandu with 40.6%, Tamil Nadu’s MK Stalin with 39.9%, Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath with 38.9%, and Tripura’s Manik Saha with 38.4%.
This ranking underscores the varying levels of public support and approval enjoyed by these leaders, reflecting the diverse political landscape and voter sentiment across different states in India.
