Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made a courtesy visit to Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan on Sunday, December 14, at his official residence in New Delhi. This meeting took place at the Vice President’s Enclave, where CM Sarma congratulated Radhakrishnan on his recent appointment to this prestigious role. The Chief Minister also invited Radhakrishnan to visit Assam, offering him an opportunity to observe the state’s ongoing transformation and development over the past few years.
The Vice President appreciated the visit, and the two leaders engaged in a warm and cordial discussion that lasted approximately 30 minutes. Their conversation covered a range of topics, including Assam’s growth trajectory, various governance initiatives, and the state’s broader developmental priorities.
After the meeting, CM Sarma shared details on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating, “Honoured to call upon Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri CP Radhakrishnan ji in New Delhi today. I personally congratulated him on assuming the august office of @VPIndia and invited him to visit Assam to witness the State’s transformation in recent years.”
