Prime Minister Modi announced that India would be launching e-visa services for Russian tourists, with a processing time of 30 days, and highlighted that these visas would be issued at no cost to the applicants.
In a press conference, PM Modi expressed his optimism regarding the future of Indo-Russian relations. He stated, “Your excellency, I have full faith that in the coming future, our friendship will enable us to face global challenges, and it is this belief that will further strengthen and enrich our shared future.” He also condemned terrorism, linking it to recent attacks, and emphasized that global unity against such acts is crucial.
President Putin noted the strong working dialogue established between the two nations and highlighted their successful collaboration during a recent SCO Summit. He reported a 12 percent increase in bilateral trade over the previous year, setting a new record, and expressed hope for maintaining that momentum in the current year. This summit marks a significant step forward in cementing the longstanding partnership between India and Russia, with both leaders committed to fostering closer ties amidst global challenges.
