Punjab Honors Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha with ₹45.84 Crore Development Initiatives
The Punjab Government honored the memory of the renowned freedom fighter Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha on his martyrdom anniversary by paying floral tributes and announcing development projects worth ₹45.84 crore aimed at revitalizing his native village, Sarabha, located in Ludhiana.
During a state-level event, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized the initiative to transform the village into a model community. He expressed his commitment to enhancing the living conditions and infrastructure in Sarabha, reflecting the legacy of its illustrious martyr. In his address, Mann also paid tribute to the companions of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha-Vishnu Ganesh Pingle, Bakhshish Singh, Jagat Singh, Surein Singh (Senior), Shaheed Harnam Singh Sialkoti, and Surein Singh (Junior)—who were executed alongside him, underlining the collective sacrifice made for the nation’s freedom. The Chief Minister’s remarks highlight both the historical significance of the day and the government’s dedication to honoring the contributions of those who fought for India’s independence.
