Urgent Alert: Brace for Torrential Downpour as IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall Nationwide in the Next 3 Days
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting heavy rainfall across several regions of the country over the next three days. Areas anticipated to experience significant downpours include Northwest, West, East, and Central India. Additionally, the South Peninsular region is expected to receive heavy rains until tomorrow.
Specifically, the IMD has highlighted that Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh will see heavy rainfall until August 23rd. Similar weather conditions are predicted for West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and parts of the Northeast region.
The IMD has also noted that a low-pressure area persists over southern Bangladesh and its surrounding regions. This system is expected to move north-northwestwards and west-northwestwards over the next two to three days, affecting areas across Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and adjoining Madhya Pradesh.
