OnePlus is set to launch its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in China within the next few days. Early leaks indicate that this new flagship could be priced lower than its predecessor, the OnePlus 13. Featuring an upgraded display, a robust Snapdragon chipset, and a revamped camera system, OnePlus seems focused on making the OnePlus 15 a strong yet affordable Android flagship.
According to tipster Arsène Lupin on X (formerly Twitter), the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the OnePlus 15 may retail for GBP 949, which translates to around ₹1,11,000. Reports suggest that the base model’s price in India could range between ₹70,000 and ₹75,000, making it cheaper than the OnePlus 13. For context, the OnePlus 13’s equivalent model is currently priced at GBP 999 (approximately ₹1,17,000) in the UK. If rumors hold true, this may mark a significant price reduction of about GBP 50 (roughly ₹6,000) for a premium smartphone.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Qualcomm’s latest high-performance processor, which promises enhanced speed and power efficiency. The phone is rumored to come with a remarkable 7,300mAh Glacier Battery, supporting 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge, representing a substantial boost in both battery life and charging speed.
The device is also anticipated to feature a third-generation 1.5K BOE Flexible Oriental OLED display, boasting a refresh rate of 165Hz for smoother visuals and better overall brightness. OnePlus claims the new display will offer a 13% increase in peak brightness and improve color accuracy by 11.8% compared to previous models.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 15 will reportedly house a triple 50-megapixel rear camera system within a new square module. This setup includes a Sony main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom, aiming to enhance low-light and long-range photography capabilities.
While official confirmations are still pending, the OnePlus 15 appears poised to deliver a premium user experience, high-quality imaging, and rapid charging-all at a slightly lower price point. If these rumors hold true, it could emerge as one of the most competitively priced Android flagships for 2025.
