Ahead of the final rites for the late singer Zubeen Garg, his wife, Garima Saikia Garg, has made an emotional appeal to the public to withdraw all First Information Reports (FIRs) filed against Siddharth, a close aide of Zubeen. She emphasized Siddharth’s vital support for the family during challenging times.
In a heartfelt video message, Garima addressed the people of Assam and local authorities, stating, “Please allow Siddharth to be part of Zubeen’s final journey. I request everyone to set aside any negative thoughts about Siddarth. I need all my people around me tomorrow, and I will need Siddhart’s support-without him, I cannot do anything.”
Recalling Siddharth’s unwavering assistance, she mentioned how he supported them during Zubeen’s severe seizure in 2020 and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. During these times, Siddharth provided food and supplies and even transported Zubeen back from Mumbai for treatment.
Garima expressed, “Zubeen has many unfinished tasks, and I cannot complete them alone. I also request that all FIRs filed against Siddhart be withdrawn,” highlighting their brother-like bond since the beginning.
As fans and well-wishers gather at Zubeen Garg’s residence in Kahilipara to pay their final respects, emotions run high. The police and local administration are working to ensure a peaceful farewell for the beloved singer.
Garima’s plea underscores the personal significance of Siddharth’s presence and addresses the legal complications associated with the FIRs, especially in light of Zubeen Garg’s untimely passing in Singapore.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Shyamkanu Mahanta, the Northeast India Festival organizer, along with Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma and others under relevant sections in connection with Zubeen’s unexpected demise on September 19. The investigation is being conducted by the CID Special Investigation Team (SIT).
