Disappointing First Sunday: Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt’s Thriller Fails to Impress
Tiger Shroff’s latest action thriller, “Baaghi 4,” released on September 5, 2025, is facing challenges at the box office. Despite showcasing a high-octane trailer, the film’s performance is underwhelming. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie’s box office collection for its third day stands at Rs 10 crore, reflecting a failure to build momentum over the weekend.
“Baaghi 4,” directed by A. Harsha, features Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, alongside Harnaaz Sandhu and Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa. The film initially opened with a promising Rs 12 crore on its first day. However, expectations quickly turned sour as the film dropped to Rs 9 crore on its second day. The third day, coinciding with its first Sunday, saw a slight increase to Rs 10 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 31 crore.
The film has also faced competition from Vivek Agnihotri’s political drama, “The Bengal Files,” which released on the same date but trails significantly behind with earnings of Rs 6.65 crore to date. Reviews for “Baaghi 4” have noted a frustratingly slow plot and a confusing narrative. Critics pointed out that while the earlier “Baaghi” films were South Indian remakes, this installment, with Sajid Nadiadwala taking over writing duties, falls short of expectations. The movie’s lackluster performance raises questions about its future prospects in theaters.
