In Trimulgherry and Alwal, broadband companies sent outage alerts on Tuesday, while Ramanthapur faced prolonged service interruptions, leaving many without Internet for over a week. Communications from service providers include notices of extended service plans as apologies for the disruptions.
The Cable Operators Association of India issued a statement highlighting that the severance of telecom fibers had led to substantial connectivity issues, affecting both urban and rural residents. “This widespread disruption of essential internet services has compounded the situation,” the statement read, reflecting the strain on connectivity during one of the city’s most celebrated events.
