Ravi Shankar Prasad Criticizes Rahul and Tejashwi’s Abusive Remarks Against PM
Senior BJP leader and national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged today that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav are using abusive language towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi out of frustration during the Voter Adhikar Yatra. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP office in Patna, Prasad claimed that opposition leaders lack faith in constitutional bodies such as the Election Commission of India, which is why they are opposing the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll.
Prasad noted that the draft of the Electoral Roll was published on August 1, but so far, the claims and objections received do not support the opposition’s arguments against the special revision. He pointed out that while Congress and RJD have a significant number of Block Level Agents (BLAs), they have not come forward to file complaints regarding the absentee, shifted, and deceased voters represented in the Electoral Roll in Bihar.
The former union minister criticized Congress and RJD leaders for making what he described as baseless and shameful allegations against the Election Commission of India. He challenged the opposition to consider whether a deceased person can cast a vote or if someone who has permanently left the state retains their right to vote.
