Aamir Khan has publicly confirmed his serious relationship with Gauri Spratt, expressing deep commitment to her. In an interview with Subhash K Jha for SCREEN, he addressed ongoing speculation about their future, particularly regarding marriage. Aamir introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebration earlier this year.
“We are really serious about each other and we are in a very committed space,” Aamir stated. “We are partners. In my heart, I’m already married to her. Whether we formalize it or not is something I will decide as we go along.” Aamir revealed that he and Gauri first met 25 years ago but lost touch until they reconnected and began dating approximately 18 months ago. Gauri, who has a six-year-old child, currently works with him at his production company.
This marks Aamir Khan’s first public relationship since his separation from filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2021. The couple married in 2005 and continue to co-parent their son, Azad. Aamir was also previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira Khan.
On the professional side, Aamir was last seen in “Sitaare Zameen Par,” where he portrayed a basketball coach training a team of specially-abled children. The film, directed by RS Prasanna and co-starring Genelia D’Souza, achieved a worldwide box office gross of Rs 233.10 crore.
Aamir is set to appear in a special role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film “Coolie,” featuring a talented ensemble cast that includes Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan among others. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 14.
