Justice Served: Aligarh’s Bravery Shines as Police Arrests Serial Killer’s Associate!
The Delhi police have apprehended Rajender, known as Rajau, an alleged key associate of infamously dubbed serial killer Devender Sharma, also referred to as “Dr. Death.” The arrest took place on Sunday in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, just days after police captured Sharma, an Ayurvedic practitioner with ties to approximately 50 murders, in Rajasthan’s Dausa on May 19.
Rajender’s criminal history is extensive, featuring 12 serious charges, including murder, robbery, and kidnapping. Additionally, he is wanted in four other murder cases in Delhi and Gurugram, where he had eluded law enforcement. According to a police official, all relevant police stations have been notified of his arrest, and further legal procedures are currently underway.
Sharma’s recent interrogation led authorities to Rajender, whom he identified as a critical player in their criminal operations. A senior police officer indicated that Rajender’s background and involvement were swiftly brought to light during this investigation. Subsequently, a police team was dispatched to track Rajender across multiple locations, including Aligarh, Jaipur, and Delhi, based on the intelligence gathered.
Finally pinpointed in a secluded area of Kasimpur, Rajender was found living under a fraudulent identity while employed as a security guard at a local pump house. He has been described as an integral part of Sharma’s crime syndicate dating back to the early 2000s, primarily targeting truck and taxi drivers. Reports indicate that their gang had gained notoriety for committing murders and disposing of bodies in a crocodile-infested canal in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh.
Rajender first aligned himself with Sharma’s syndicate in 2003, and history shows that he was arrested in Jaipur four years later under an alias in connection with murder, leading to a life sentence. He inexplicably served 14 years in prison without disclosing his connection to further criminal activities linked to Sharma. Notably, Rajender was also declared a proclaimed offender in a 2004 case involving murder, kidnapping, conspiracy, and the destruction of evidence, which was registered at Sarita Vihar police station.
As authorities pursue the necessary legal actions, the focus remains on unraveling the full extent of the crimes tied to Sharma and Rajender, reflecting a continuing effort by Delhi police to clamp down on organized crime. The investigation underscores the collaborative nature of law enforcement as they work to ensure that such criminal enterprises are dismantled and those responsible are brought to justice.
This high-profile case serves as a stark reminder of the complexities involved in tackling serial crime and the importance of vigilance in community safety.
