Helicopter Crash on Kedarnath Journey: 7 Lives in Grave Danger
A helicopter crash near Kedarnath has caused the deaths of five passengers, with two others reported missing. The incident occurred in a dense forest area between Gaurikund and Triyuginarayan, as the helicopter was en route to Guptkashi. The helicopter, owned by Aryan Aviation in Uttarakhand, took off around 5 a.m. with six passengers and one pilot on board.
Shortly after takeoff, the helicopter began to lose altitude and crashed around 5:30 a.m. Initial reports suggest that bad weather may have contributed to the accident. Among the deceased is a child. Search and rescue operations are underway, led by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
Local sources indicate that the crash site is in an extremely inaccessible region, complicating rescue efforts. Teams are working diligently to reach the site, although authorities have reported that the challenging terrain is hindering progress in the search for the missing individuals.
