Exciting News: Delhi Govt. Set to Transform Justice with New State-of-the-Art District Courts Complex at Rouse Avenue!
Delhi Finance Minister Atishi announced on Saturday the construction of a new district courts complex at Rouse Avenue, targeted to enhance the judicial infrastructure in the city. The project, expected to cost ₹427 crore, will feature 55 courtrooms. In a statement, the Minister emphasized that “speedy and accessible justice is the fundamental right of every Indian,” and highlighted that improved infrastructure is crucial for this purpose.
The project details reveal the complex will consist of two blocks. Block A will be an 11-storey structure, comprising three basements and 55 courtrooms. Block B will stand 17 floors high and accommodate 815 chambers for lawyers. Both blocks will be interconnected by a skywalk, facilitating easy movement within the complex. Minister Atishi has instructed relevant departments to devise a comprehensive timeline to ensure the project is completed swiftly. The new facility is anticipated to play a significant role in fortifying Delhi’s judicial system.
