Remarkable Accuracy: Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Government Examinations Confirms Over 99.76% SSC Answer Scripts Marked with Precision!

Amid rising concerns over alleged discrepancies in evaluating answer scripts for the SSC public examinations, the Directorate of Government Examinations has staunchly defended the integrity of its evaluation process. According to their latest statement, more than 99.76% of answer scripts were marked accurately during the initial evaluation round.

The Directorate revealed that a total of 66,363 applications were filed for reevaluation, comprising 64,251 requests for reverification and 2,112 for recounting. Of these, significant changes in marks were recorded for 11,175 scripts after a thorough review. This highlights that 55,188 scripts were deemed correctly evaluated from the outset, reinforcing the reliability of the evaluation process.

Among the corrected scripts, 8,863 instances involved minor adjustments of one to five marks, while 3,119 scripts experienced more substantial changes of over five marks. The Directorate emphasized that these larger mark adjustments constituted a mere 0.068% of the total scripts, affirming the rarity of such cases. The agency has taken responsible measures to rectify errors, underscoring its commitment to accountability by suspending five evaluators for procedural violations.

The evaluation process for the recent SSC Public Examinations, which took place in March 2025, involved 16,428 Assistant Examiners, 5,494 Special Assistants, and 2,747 Chief Examiners, completing a comprehensive review of 45,96,527 answer scripts. Over the past four years, the Directorate has maintained a consistent evaluation volume, processing between 44.5 lakh and 47.8 lakh answer scripts annually. Notably, the accuracy rates have remained remarkably high, with 99.82% in 2022, 99.76% in 2023, 99.81% in 2024, and 99.74% in 2025.

In an effort to enhance transparency, the Directorate has been providing PDF copies of evaluated answer scripts to all applicants who requested reverification. This initiative reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that public examinations are administered fairly and accurately, aligning with their dedication to uphold the highest standards in educational evaluations.
