Sonowal Applauds India’s Emergence as the World’s 4th Largest Economy
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, praised the Indian public on Sunday for the country achieving the milestone of becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy. He credited this accomplishment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “astute, dynamic, and strong leadership” since 2014. Speaking at a ‘Mann Ki Baat’ listening event and Tiranga Yatra at Booth No. 112 in West Mandal, Dibrugarh, Sonowal urged citizens to engage in nation-building and work towards realizing Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, or developed India.
Sonowal emphasized the continuous inspiration derived from PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, which shares transformative ideas and stories of courage from across the nation. He expressed personal inspiration from the PM’s latest address and reinforced the call for all citizens to commit to building a self-reliant India. “Under his leadership, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy. We must commit to elevating this journey of growth and prosperity to even greater heights, ultimately achieving Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he stated.
During the Tiranga Yatra, which celebrated the success of Operation Sindoor, Sonowal honored India’s armed forces. He interacted with rickshaw pullers and laborers along the route, acknowledging their critical contributions to society. Later in the day, he unveiled a life-size statue of Matak King Swargadeo Sarbananda Singha at Koilabari in Chabua, an event attended by community members, dignitaries, and cultural leaders.
