Miraculous Train Delivery: Tripura Woman Welcomes Baby Boy with Help
A baby boy was born aboard the Kanchanjunga Express on Thursday, May 22, while the train traversed the Ambassa–Kumarghat section in Tripura. The train was heading to Pakur in Jharkhand when the birth occurred in coach S/9, according to officials from the Government Railway Police (GRP).
The mother, Ketki Nagesiya, a 23-year-old from Barpani in Lohardaga district, was traveling with her family. She reportedly works as a laborer in Agartala and went into labor during the journey. Upon the train’s arrival at Dharmanagar station in North Tripura, the on-duty Commercial Management Personnel, along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the GRP, acted quickly to assist.
A railway doctor examined both the mother and the newborn and referred them to the Civil Hospital for further medical care. An ambulance was arranged by the RPF, which also provided an escort for the family to the hospital. Authorities have confirmed that both mother and child are stable and receiving adequate medical attention.
