In an exclusive discussion, Jiyoung Lee and Hyoungshin Park, Vice Presidents of the Design Team within Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, provided insights into the thought process that drove the creation of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is a triumph of design, characterized by its refined aesthetics. "This model represents the most essential form of a smartphone by removing all unnecessary elements," Lee, who spearheaded the product’s design, explained. This focus on minimalism is bolstered by the careful selection of materials, including premium titanium, which not only enhances the device’s sleek appearance but also contributes to its sturdiness, in line with the design identity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
A cohesive color palette enhances the Galaxy S25 Edge’s identity, with shades like Titanium Silver, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Jetblack inspired by a broad light spectrum. The device’s one-mass design integrates the frame and back cover, creating a seamless look that accentuates its slender profile. Park, who led the color, material, and finish (CMF) design, highlighted the intersection of artistry and functionality.
