PM Modi: No Safe Haven for Terrorism in Pakistan – Key Address in Adampur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian Armed Forces on Tuesday for their decisive response in Operation Sindoor against Pakistani threats. Speaking at the Adampur Air Force base in Punjab, he emphasized that they have clearly conveyed to the Pakistan Army that “there is no place in Pakistan where terrorists can hide” and warned that India will “definitely respond” if attacked again. Modi highlighted the forces’ need to remain vigilant and to remind adversaries of “this new India.”
Standing before an S-400 mobile surface-to-air missile system, he refuted Pakistan’s claims of having destroyed such equipment at Adampur, asserting that India temporarily halted its military actions only after Pakistan requested assistance. “What you have accomplished is unprecedented,” he declared, commending the Air Force for conducting precise strikes on terrorist camps within Pakistan in just 25-30 minutes—a feat that demonstrated their modern capabilities and swift execution.
As airmen chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ Modi underscored the significance of the slogan as a reflection of every citizen’s desire to contribute to the nation. He expressed that this spirit resonates not only in words but also in the mission, asserting that when soldiers chant in unity, the enemy quakes in fear.
Modi noted that Operation Sindoor exemplifies India’s calculated military strategy. He articulated the historical context of the operation, linking it to India’s rich traditions and emphasizing gratitude toward soldiers and their families. He quoted Guru Gobind Singh, stating that the tradition of rising against injustice is ingrained in Indian culture.
The Prime Minister pointed out the effectiveness of the armed forces in dismantling terror networks, claiming nine terror sites were obliterated and that 100 terrorists were neutralized. He indicated that the terrorist hierarchy is now aware that any aggression toward India will result in dire consequences, remarking that “shedding the blood of innocents will result in destruction.”
Modi asserted that the Indian military has taught the Pakistan Army a crucial lesson, expressing confidence that Pakistan would remain preoccupied with the capabilities of India’s drones and missiles. He praised the vigilance of Indian forces for managing to respond to threats without endangering civilian aircraft, while noting that Pakistani efforts to assault military installations have consistently failed.
He outlined a clear policy stance for India: in the event of a terror attack, responses will be made on Indian terms, dismissing nuclear blackmail and refusing to distinguish between terrorist sponsors and their leaders. Modi highlighted the success of integrated military operations, noting that coordination between the Army, Air Force, and Navy is essential for effective defense.
Despite Pakistan’s persistent attempts to engage Indian defenses, Modi asserted that the Indian military infrastructure emerged unscathed. He emphasized that India possesses cutting-edge technology beyond Pakistan’s reach, attributing this advance to substantial investments in military modernization over the past decade. He concluded by affirming the Indian Air Force’s superior capability in utilizing both weapons and intelligence, solidifying their position as a global leader in defense technology.
