The last rites of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz, a resident of Bihar who was martyred while on duty in RS Pura, Jammu, during recent firing by Pakistan, were conducted today with full police honors. The burial took place at a cemetery in his native village, Narayanpur, located in Garkha, Saran district.
Upon the arrival of the martyr’s remains at Patna airport from New Delhi, state ministers Shrawan Kumar and Nitin Naveen, along with various other dignitaries, paid their respects. In Narayanpur, dignitaries including DIG of Saran Range Nilesh Kumar, District Magistrate Aman Sameer, and Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish, led the floral tributes for the fallen officer.
The ceremony underscored the profound sacrifice made by Sub-Inspector Imtiyaz while serving the nation, reflecting the deep respect and gratitude held by the community and the state for such dedication and bravery.
