Operation Sindoor: Top Security Official’s Stark Warning on Pakistan’s Next Moves

New Delhi issued a firm warning on Thursday regarding its military stance with Pakistan. According to a top security official involved in Operation Sindoor, India will proceed “till the very end” if Pakistan escalates tensions. This statement was made on the same day the Ministry of Defence announced that the Indian armed forces had successfully “neutralised” air defence radars and systems at various locations in Pakistan, including Lahore, in response to Pakistan’s provocative actions.

In an interview with The Indian Express, the official emphasized that the current military standoff between India and Pakistan does not have clear boundaries. India’s response, he stated, will be contingent on how quickly and to what extent Pakistan engages in escalation. “We are prepared for the best but also ready for whatever happens,” he added.

This outlook reflects the Indian government’s ongoing assessment that it has maintained a “non-escalatory” approach and it is now Pakistan’s turn to de-escalate the situation. The official reiterated that India had targeted nine specific locations, focusing exclusively on terrorist infrastructure, including camps associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. He stated that India could swiftly provide “visual and video proof” of the damage inflicted, showcasing a significant advancement in both strike precision and surveillance capabilities.

“We have demonstrated our ability to accurately select targets, including several in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, without missing a single one,” the official noted. He emphasized that throughout the operation, not a single extraneous target was impacted, underscoring the control and precision of India’s military action.
