Sarma noted, “These repeated visits by Japan’s top representatives are very encouraging for Assam,” emphasizing the state’s ongoing development projects supported by Japanese investment.

Sarma has expressed a strong desire to attract greater Japanese investment through sustained engagement and collaboration. Reflecting on his own visit to Japan in February, he recalled extending an invitation to Fukushiro during a dinner where he was joined by Japanese business leaders. “He has now come here with a delegation of over 50 members,” he added, showcasing the expanding ties.
