Tragic Loss: Brilliant Medical Student from Puducherry Found Dead in Madurai Lodge
A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday night in Madurai, where a 20-year-old second-year medical student, K. Mukesh from Puducherry, was found dead in a local lodge. Mukesh, pursuing his MBBS in Puducherry, had been missing since July 8. Despite the police’s active search and registered missing person report, he had traveled to Madurai on July 31, securing accommodation at a lodge on West Perumal Maistry Street.
The alarm was raised when Mukesh did not emerge from his room. A concerned room boy repeatedly knocked without receiving a response, prompting him to alert the authorities. Upon forcibly entering the room, the police discovered Mukesh lifeless. His distraught parents were immediately informed about the unfortunate development.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Mukesh’s disappearance followed a reprimand from his parents over his academic performance. This appears to have significantly impacted him, leading to his distressing decision.
