Unveiling the Truth: Himanta Biswa Sarma Reveals Startling Similarities Between Assam and Jharkhand Intruders – A Must-Know for Journalists
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam has invited journalists from Jharkhand to visit Assam to understand the issue of intruders seizing land from residents. During his two-day visit to Jharkhand, where he serves as BJP’s co-incharge for the upcoming election, Sarma explained that this visit will help journalists grasp how intruders force villagers, particularly Hindus, to vacate their villages using monetary inducements or by sacrificing cows.
Highlighting similarities between the situations in Assam and Jharkhand’s Pakur region, Sarma expressed confidence in Jharkhand’s ability to address the intruder issue, citing the state’s robust facilities and policies. He assured that if the BJP comes to power, the government will launch several initiatives to tackle this problem.
Sarma emphasized that stopping the inflow of intruders is a central government responsibility, but noted that currently, intruders are present inside the state. He stated that Assam would welcome central intervention in this matter.
The Assam CM went on to state that he would regard Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren as a hero if his government formally communicates its cooperation with the central government to resolve the issue of intruders.
With this visit, Sarma aims to shed light on the challenges posed by intruders and rally support for BJP’s proposed measures to safeguard residents’ land rights in both Assam and Jharkhand.
