Krishank’s Shocking Arrest: Derogatory Remarks Against Telangana CM Revanth Stir Emotion and Outrage
The Cyber Crimes police in Hyderabad have registered a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank for allegedly making defamatory posts on social media aimed at Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The complaint states that Krishank’s tweets, shared on X, contained “meaningless and derogatory words” intended to tarnish the reputation and dignity of the Chief Minister.
Notably, this is the seventh such case filed against Krishank by the Congress government. In response, Krishank took to social media once more, sharing the complaint document and questioning the basis of the allegations. He tweeted, “What is Derogatory in this Tweet? What happens in Faheem’s Guest House that will make CM @revanth_anumula lose his Reputation and Dignity? Case Number 7 by Congress Govt.”
Krishank’s tweets have sparked a conversation about the limits of free speech and the political climate in Telangana, highlighting an ongoing battle between BRS and the state’s Congress-led administration. Despite being legally challenged multiple times, Krishank continues to use social media to call out the government and question the validity of the accusations against him.
The legal actions against Krishank underline the tensions and intricate power dynamics prevalent in Telangana’s political environment. How this will impact the future of digital discourse and political opposition in the state remains to be seen.
