The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced the results for the Class 5 and Class 8 examinations for 2025. The results are accessible on the official website, rskmp.in. Students can check their results by entering their roll number or Samagra ID. As per the notification on the website, the results were made available from 1 PM on March 28, 2025.
This year’s examinations, conducted from February 24 to March 5, saw over 11.17 lakh students sitting for Class 5, while 11.68 lakh students appeared for Class 8. The evaluation process involved more than 1.19 lakh evaluators assessing the answer sheets at 322 designated centers. Students are advised to keep their roll numbers or Samagra IDs handy for checking their results and any further academic requirements.
The overall pass percentage this year for Class 8 was an impressive 92.02%, with boys recording a pass rate of 88.41%. In Class 5, the pass percentage stood slightly higher at 92.70%. Notably, Shahdol, Chambal, Indore, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Bhopal, and Gwalior districts emerged as top performers in the examinations. Government schools showed a commendable performance, with a 93.24% pass rate in Class 5.
Category-wise, the pass percentages for Class 8 students were SC: 87.42%, ST: 89.74%, OBC: 90.61%, and General: 92.29%. Similarly, in Class 5, SC students had a pass rate of 90.555%, ST: 93.94%, OBC: 92.85%, and General: 92.72%. These numbers reflect the diverse demographics of the state and emphasize the importance of education regardless of economic or social backgrounds.
In cases where students did not achieve the required 33% pass mark, compartment exams will be offered, allowing them a second chance to succeed. Those who wish to apply for re-totaling of marks can do so between April 3 and April 17, with more details to be shared by the board shortly.
The MPBSE is now gearing up to begin the new academic session on April 1, 2025, while also preparing to release the results for the Class 10 and 12 examinations. Hard copies of the marksheets will be distributed through the respective schools, containing details such as subject-wise marks and the overall grade.
With the current results, technological enhancements by the board have made accessing these details more convenient, despite occasional website traffic issues. Students are encouraged to review their results thoroughly and seek guidance from their educators for planning subsequent educational paths.
