Exclusive Closure Imminent: SIT’s Investigation into Ali Tauqeer Seikh Case Set to Conclude by September, Reveals CM
As Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, delivered a press briefing on Thursday, he announced that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the activities of Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh is expected to conclude its investigation by September. According to the Chief Minister, the SIT is scrutinizing records to determine how and why Sheikh was paying a salary to an individual based in India, who was not working in Pakistan.
The SIT has been created to investigate Ali Tauqeer Sheikh and his partners in India, and it is currently in possession of various documents that establish that Sheikh continued to pay one individual in India. Significantly, the Chief Minister revealed that the individual Sheikh was paying is not working in Pakistan, but rather in India, and received the payment for a period of three years.
The investigation is ongoing, with the SIT requiring another two months to complete its probe. When the investigation is concluded, the state will recommend to the relevant authority whether to revoke the visa of the individual or take action as per law. The Chief Minister emphasized that the investigation could lead to major developments in the coming weeks.
The recent development has left many wondering what sparked the investigation and what revelations can be expected from the probe. While the outcome is yet to be known, one thing is certain: the people of Assam are eagerly awaiting the findings and the possible implications. As the investigation unfolds, one can only hope that the truth will finally come to light, and those responsible will be held accountable.
