Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam Seeks Talented Professionals for Cutting-Edge Research Project on Type-1 Diabetes Treatment
In a major breakthrough, IIT Guwahati Assam has issued a call for applications for Project Technician and Project Scientist positions to work on a groundbreaking project titled “Expansion of the Genetic Code: A Potential Treatment Strategy for Type-1 Diabetes” at the Centre for the Environment.
The innovative project aims to develop a new treatment strategy for Type-1 diabetes, a chronic and debilitating disease that affects millions worldwide. The application process is open for two positions: Project Technician and Project Scientist. The salary for this position is Rs. 21,600 per month.
For the Project Scientist role, candidates must possess a Master’s or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Diabetes-related research, Cancer Biology, Synthetic Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, animal model studies, and diabetes-related research, as well as cloning and site-directed mutagenesis. The salary for this position is Rs. 67,200 per month.
