Swift Justice: Assam Police Triumphantly Apprehends and Deports Illegal Bangladeshi Nationals
In an ongoing effort to strengthen security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, the Assam Police have detained and deported two illegal Bangladeshi nationals. The individuals, identified as Akbar Ali and Hamna alias Md. Apon, were intercepted amid enhanced border surveillance. Their capture is part of a broader initiative to prevent unauthorized border crossings.
Earlier, two other Bangladeshi nationals, Riyaz Mulla and Shaqib Mondal, faced detention and deportation after routine checks revealed their illegal entry. Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to social media to commend the police for their diligent monitoring and effective action.
Assam’s 263-kilometer border with Bangladesh remains a crucial area for immigration control, necessitating rigorous security measures. These operations are integral to the ongoing strategy to curb infiltration and maintain regional safety.
