Two individuals were apprehended on Sunday in relation to the violent outbreak last November concerning a court-ordered survey of a Mughal-era mosque, resulting in four fatalities. The suspects, identified as Mohammad Hasan and Samad, were detained in the Nakhasa police station area, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities stated that the arrestees confessed to participating in the mob that gathered near the mosque on November 24, opposing the survey. Upon learning of the situation, they made their way to Anjuman Chauraha, where a crowd had gathered, and proceeded to incite the mob. The mob reportedly advanced, attacking police by hurling stones, firing weapons, and setting a police vehicle on fire, demonstrating an intent to kill.
