Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss the development prospects for the northeastern state, focusing on job creation for the youth. During their meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, Saha highlighted the need for premier institutions like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM in Tripura to enhance health services, education, and research.
Chief Minister Saha also briefed PM Modi on the progress of the National Highway development from Kamalpur to Santirbazar, which passes through predominantly tribal regions such as Ambassa, Ganda Twisa, and Amarpur. The discussions aimed to foster improved connectivity and regional development.
Additionally, Saha extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for the BJP’s success in the Delhi Assembly elections and his recent international visits to France and the US. Acknowledging Modi’s leadership on the global stage, Saha also addressed several issues pertinent to Tripura’s growth, cultivating a stronger partnership between the state and the central government. The meeting was described as a positive step towards promoting Tripura’s development and cultural heritage.
During his visit to the national capital, Chief Minister Saha also met with key BJP leaders, including Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda, BJP’s National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh, and Arun Singh, to discuss health and organizational development initiatives in Tripura. Post his meeting with Nadda, Saha shared his optimism on social media platform X, indicating fruitful discussions aimed at achieving “Ek Tripura-Shrestha Tripura.”
The series of meetings underscores Chief Minister Saha’s commitment to driving forward the developmental agenda in Tripura and securing support from central leadership for the state’s growth objectives.
