Experience Authentic Tranquility: Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma Unveils Baksa’s Majestic New Tribal Rest House
Assam Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma has inaugurated a new Multi-Storied Tribal Rest House at Koklabari Keshab Nwgwr in Baksa, Assam. Built with Rs. 2 crore funding from the WPT fund, this facility aims to benefit the local community by offering a venue for various programs and events. The inauguration was attended by notable figures, including BTCLA Speaker Kati Ram Baro, MCLA Mantu Baro, UPPL District President Khwirwm Dwirwm, General Secretary Biju Barkochary, Block President Bipul Baro, along with leaders from ABSU, CKPC/BSS, social activists, and community members.
This rest house is a significant addition to the region, expected to enhance community welfare by providing comfortable accommodations and fostering cultural and social activities. It represents a step towards inclusive development in Baksa.
Additionally, Minister Brahma recently chaired a review meeting in Baksa to monitor progress on various Public Works Department (PWD) and Social Welfare projects. Key attendees included Baksa Deputy Commissioner Gautam Das and MCLA Mantu Baro. The discussion largely revolved around the timely completion of road projects and establishing Model Anganwadi Centres to support community development. The minister emphasized efficient work to ensure these projects effectively serve the local population.
This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to promoting community welfare and development in Assam’s tribal regions, aiming for substantial impact through improved infrastructure and social support systems.
