Abhinav Singh, a 32-year-old rapper and hip-hop artist from Odisha, widely recognized as ‘Juggernaut’, was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment, with authorities suspecting suicide. Bengaluru police confirmed the tragic discovery on Monday, reporting that Singh’s family in Odisha filed a harassment complaint against his wife.
Singh, celebrated for his popular track ‘Cuttack Anthem’, was employed in the automation testing department at Power School India Private Limited, located in Embassy Tech Village. He resided in a fourth-floor flat at the Sree Utopia apartments in Kadubeesanahalli. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield, Shivakumar Gunare, confirmed Singh took his own life shortly after dining with a friend on February 9.
Following the incident, Marathahalli police documented it as an unnatural death and released Singh’s body to his family post-autopsy. Concurrently, Singh’s father lodged a complaint at the Lalbagh police station in Odisha, alleging harassment by Singh’s wife and her relatives, leading to police investigations into these claims.
The case has ignited discussions around mental health and domestic issues, prompting a deep investigation by the authorities to uncover the circumstances surrounding Singh’s untimely demise.
