Heartfelt Support: MLA Champions Koch-Rajbongshi Heritage at Vibrant 515th Chilarai Day Celebration in Boko
The 515th Mahavir Chilarai Day was celebrated with significant fanfare at Gandhi Maidan in Boko over two culturally rich and community-focused days. The Boko Regional Koch-Rajbongshi Youth Students’ Union, in partnership with the Boko Regional Koch-Rajbongshi Women’s Union, orchestrated the commemorative events, launching them on Tuesday.
This year’s celebration coincided with the silver jubilee of the Boko Regional Koch-Rajbongshi Youth Students’ Union, marking a dual milestone. On Wednesday, the event was attended by Palashbari MLA Hemanga Thakuria, alongside prominent members of the Koch-Rajbongshi Youth Association.
MLA Thakuria paid tribute to Mahavir Chilarai by placing flowers at his statue and participating in a memorial ceremony. He emphasized his strong ties with the Koch-Rajbongshi community and reiterated his dedication to addressing their issues and fostering their development in the region.
The event not only honored Mahavir Chilarai but also highlighted the ongoing commitment of community leaders to the welfare and cultural heritage of the Koch-Rajbongshi people.
