Exciting Shake-Up: Arunachal Government Drastically Reinvigorates Senior Police Leadership
The Arunachal Pradesh government announced a significant reshuffle among its senior police officers on February 7, as per an official notification. The reshuffle involves key positions across various departments within the police force.
Chinmoy Biswal, the Deputy Inspector General (Headquarters), has been assigned additional responsibilities as DIGP Training and Operations. Recently promoted Dr. Joy Tirkey takes on the role of DIGP covering Crime, SIT, Security, and as OSD to the Director General of Police. Suman Nalwa has been appointed as DIGP for Intelligence and Public Relations Officer tasks.
West Siang SSP Tumme Amo is now posted as DIGP of ICR. Meanwhile, Apang Tamut assumes the role of DIGP for Welfare. In further moves, Crime/SIT SP Shekhar Prabudesai has been transferred to Commanding Officer of the 1st APP Battalion in Chimpu.
Kardak Riba, previously the SP of Kamle, has been positioned as the new West Siang SP, replacing Tumme Amo. In addition, SP Election PHQ Techi Hanyir has been appointed as Kamle SP. Dusu Kaling, SP Planning, will now also carry the responsibilities of AIGP Operations.
Lastly, West Kameng Assistant SP Pawan Kumar Yadav has been transferred to the position of Bichom SP.
This reshuffle highlights the strategic placements and reassignments aimed at bolstering various critical units within the state’s police framework, reflecting the government’s commitment to maintaining robust law enforcement and operational efficacy.
