Furious Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi Blasts BJP for ‘Boycotting’ Entire Country in Latest Budget Reveal
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their recent Union budget, accusing the party of neglecting various segments of the population, including farmers, students, taxpayers, and urban residents. Speaking to reporters, Gogoi mocked the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for refusing legal protections to farmers through the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme.
Gogoi claimed that students have been ignored, citing repeated cancellations of higher education exams. He further argued that hardworking taxpayers have been boycotted by the removal of benefits on indexation. According to Gogoi, the BJP’s budget has also led to failures in infrastructure, affecting railway lines and bridges, thereby boycotting urban dwellers.
The Congress MP accused the BJP of prioritizing the interests of a few big industrialists over the general public, which prompted the opposition INDIA bloc to boycott the BJP in the Niti Aayog meeting. Gogoi characterized the BJP as selfish and labeled Prime Minister Modi as weak and helpless, asserting that he is focused on appeasing certain Chief Ministers to maintain his government’s stability rather than addressing the needs of the country.
Gogoi raised concerns about the upcoming budget, suggesting that the current budget’s favoritism toward two political parties hints at a continued neglect of the broader Indian population. He predicted that the Janata Dal United (JDU) would receive even more benefits in the next year’s budget. He also vowed that the BJP would face repercussions in states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.
Overall, Gogoi’s remarks paint a picture of a government more interested in political survival and catering to a select few, rather than addressing the diverse needs of the nation.
