Revolutionary Leap: 46 New Sanitation Vehicles Unveiled in Itanagar to Transform Waste Management!
In a significant step to boost urban sanitation efforts, Arunachal Pradesh’s Urban Affairs Minister, Balo Raja, launched 46 new municipal garbage vehicles in Itanagar. The launch event took place at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre and included the participation of Techi Kaso, Itanagar MLA and advisor to the Urban Affairs Minister.
These vehicles are part of the Swachh Bharat Kosh (SBK) initiative and are intended to enhance waste collection and disposal across urban areas in the state. Minister Raja expressed that this initiative is crucial for fortifying Arunachal Pradesh’s sanitation infrastructure, ultimately leading to cleaner and healthier cities.
Minister Raja also expressed his appreciation for Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s dedication to urban development, underscoring the state’s commitment to sustainable and hygienic living environments. He called on citizens to engage actively in cleanliness efforts through proper waste segregation and disposal practices.
“This initiative is in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Let’s all contribute to a cleaner and greener Arunachal Pradesh,” Raja urged.
The move underscores the state’s proactive approach towards urban sanitation and citizen involvement, aiming for a significant improvement in environmental health standards.
