Exciting Development: Manipur CM Biren Singh Unveils Ambitious Rs 2.5 Crore Mini Sports Complex, Sparking Hope and Growth for Kumbi
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has unveiled plans for a Mini Sports Complex at Kumbi High School Ground in Terakhong, sanctioned with a budget estimate of Rs 2.5 crore. This announcement was made during a public engagement at the school, where Singh reaffirmed the government’s dedication to assisting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and committed to conducting ‘Go to Village’ programs to cater to their needs.
Addressing various public requests, CM Singh pledged developmental efforts, including enhancements to Kumbi Market Shed, swift repairs to the Kumbi-Wangoo Road, the conversion of Terakhong Primary Health Centre into a Community Health Centre, and the establishment of a Fire Services sub-station in Kumbi. Emphasizing governmental livelihood assistance for displaced families, Singh launched the ‘One Family One Livelihood’ initiative. This scheme aims to provide loans up to Rs 10 lakh with a 30 percent grant, supporting families in the reconstruction of their lives.
The event featured participation from key ministers such as Govindas Konthoujam, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, and L. Susindro Meitei, alongside MLAs Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh, K. Ibomcha, and Shri S. Premchandra Singh. Following the interaction, the Chief Minister, along with his team, visited Phubala to assess the ongoing construction of pre-fabricated homes intended for displaced persons.
This development reflects the government’s strategic efforts towards infrastructural development and social rehabilitation, aiming to bolster the community’s resilience in wake of displacement challenges.
