Shocking Tragedy: Ex-Army Man’s Disturbing Act of Boiling Wife’s Body in Pressure Cooker Unveiled
In a gruesome incident in Hyderabad, Telangana, a former army man, Gurumurthy, stands accused of murdering his wife, Puttavenkata Madhavi, and attempting to destroy evidence by boiling her body in a pressure cooker before disposing of it in a nearby lake. Currently employed as a security guard, Gurumurthy reportedly confessed to the crime, which allegedly occurred following a heated argument on January 16. Madhavi’s mother, Subamma, filed a missing person’s complaint on January 18, leading to the investigation.
The suspect allegedly chopped Madhavi’s body, boiled the pieces, and separated the bones from the flesh over a three-day period before packing the remains in a bag and discarding it in the lake. Despite the confession, police have not yet retrieved the victim’s remains, and the investigation continues with extensive searches involving clues teams and a dog squad.
Meerpet Inspector Nagaraju stated that the case is still classified as a “missing person case” due to the absence of concrete evidence of murder. Gurumurthy had previously informed Madhavi’s parents of her disappearance, allegedly fabricating the story to cover his tracks. The couple, married for thirteen years, lived in Venkateswara Colony with their two children, who were visiting their aunt at the time of the incident. Authorities remain committed to uncovering the truth despite the absence of physical evidence corroborating the husband’s confession.
